Publications with ISBN Reception Reception is the first major monograph by artist emerging Peter Bobby who studied MA Fine Art at University of Wales Institute Cardiff, and now lives in London. Lavishly produced, abundantly illustrated with ultra-violet gloss sealed images, Reception collates works made over the last five years. Always devoid of human presence, Peter Bobby photographs the interiors of recently completed corporate buildings. Every surface shines and every object is placed with precision. The glossy photographs appear initially seductive, yet as we are drawn closer, we become aware of an environment which is alien, stark and unpopulated. Through his technique of photographing, and the absence of human presence, Bobby's work cleverly blurs the distinction between art, architecture and corporate image-making.
Locale Settings that are at once familiar to us form the backdrop to the works in Locale. In different ways, the artists in Locale explore the nature of consumerism, aspiration and illusion. However, their respective insights not only observe but are also, through their particular constructions, interwoven to these acts of scrutiny, providing the show with further narrative twists.

West - Ffotobiennal Reflecting the independent spirit of some of Wales’ emerging photographers, West embraces landscape photography, portraiture, documentary realism and more experimental uses of the medium. From Peter Bobby’s huge colour-saturated interiors of upmarket leisure and business complexes and Jamie Davies’ clinical studies of Irish clubs across Britain, to Tina Carr & Annemarie Schöne’s sensitive portraits of pensioners in care, West responds to some of the burning cultural and social issues of the day. This fully illustrated colour catalogue produced to coincide with the first biennial of contemporary photography in Wales, represents an important critical forum for independent photography and digital art in the country. West features the work of fourteen photographers and artists, who collectively demonstrate that photographic art in Wales is quirky, alive and full of inspiration.

Publications without ISBN The Core of Industry The Core of Industry is an International Photography Award promoted by the Municipality and the Associazione Industriali of Reggio Emilia in the contest of Fotografia Europea 2008. The award and publication aims to focus on the varied reality of present-day European industry, through the ability of photography to document – as well as depict and interpret in an original and innovative manner – the human, social and historical phenomena of the contemporary world. Architecture and landscape, as well as the environmental context, and the human and social consequences of industrial change, are some of the possible approaches to research that will emphasize critical situations as well as situations of excellence.
